ONCJC is a non-profit organization formed in 1997 to promote, preserve and enjoy the dance styles made popular during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Among these are East & West Coast Swing, Jitterbug, Beach Bop, St. Louis Imperial Swing and Carolina Shag. By popular demand, other dance styles now include Rumba, ChaCha, Night Club Two and others.

ONCJC is proud to be a member of the American Bop Association. The ABA is a national non-profit organization that is in alignment with our Club philosophies. Club members regularly attend wonderful ABA events near and far and have found many friends. Check out the More Info page, the current newsletter and ABA website for event information.

Our very own ONCJC Charter Members Kap and Lou (photo to right) were inducted into the ABA Hall of Fame during the St. Louis ABA Convention held in September 2011.

ONCJC is governed by an all volunteer Executive Board consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and five Trustees. These individuals are elected by the membership for two-year terms. The Executive Board is entrusted with the responsibility of protecting our Mission Statement and By-Laws as set forth by the founding members. They also oversee all social, charitable, promotional events and club volunteer activities. Volunteers handle responsibilities for coordinating events (hosted and worked by other volunteers), lessons, and membership. There is also a newsletter editor, senior DJ and webmaster.

Don't know the steps? No problem! Beginner dance lessons are available to kick-start you on your way to regularly scheduled more advanced lessons. Our goal is that your first visit won't be your last! You will begin to look forward to Wednesday nights, not only for the nice break it will give to your week and wonderful dancing, but also for the lasting friendships you will achieve.

If you still have questions or would just like to connect with someone, please send us an e-mail info@oncjc.org, we will get back with you soon.

ONCJC Club Apparel
We celebrate member birthdays on the second Wednesday of the month during the Wednesday night dance (cake is provided). This is also Club Shirt Night and the wearing of club apparel is encouraged as seen in many of the photos seen on this site. We wear club shirts, jackets, hats or tote our club shoe bags with pride while attending dances and other events or just anywhere.

Don’t have club apparel?Frown Not a problem, they can now be purchased online from Embroidery On Demand.
